Instructions on how to level up your Gathering abilities in the Cheap NW gold
Gathering abilities are those that allow you to venture out into nature in order to discover and exploit Aeternum's abundant resources. For Gathering, unlike the majority of Refining and Crafting skills, you do not need to be in a Settlement in order to progress your talent, and there are no fixed locations where you can practice your craft — though you will still require some tools and equipment.
The following are the steps to improving your Gathering abilities:
Catching fish is what fishing is all about. It is necessary to have a fishing pole.
Harvesting: Gather herbs and plants for cooking and baking. It is possible to complete the task without the use of tools, though higher-tier resources necessitate the use of a Sickle.
Logging is the process of cutting down trees. It is necessary to have a Logging Axe.
Mining is the extraction of rocks. It is necessary to have a Pickaxe.
Tracking and skinning: Dead animals are skinned. It is necessary to have a Skinning Knife.
The best way to improve your Refining abilities in the
Refining skills fall somewhere in the middle of the spectrum between Gathering and Crafting, but that doesn't mean they should be overlooked. Raw materials are fine and dandy, but if you want to create something that is truly high-end and long-lasting, you must refine the ingredients first. Refining stations can be found in all settlements, including the capital.
The following are the steps to improving your Refining abilities:
Tannery: Refine rawhide and leathers (obtained through the Tracking & Skinning skill) in order to make them more durable.
Iron ore can be refined into ingots at a Smelter, which can be obtained by mining or by using the Smelting skill.
Stonecutting is a skill that allows you to refine raw gemstones (obtained through the Mining skill) into cut gems using a Stonecutting Table.
The Weaving skill allows you to refine plant fibers such as hemp (obtained through the Harvesting skill) into fabrics using a Loom.
Woodworking: In a Woodshop, you can refine raw wood that you've obtained through the Logging skill.
Instructions on how to level up your Crafting abilities in New World
While every buy NW gold Trade Skill is essential to surviving on Aeternum, there's no denying that Crafting skills are the heavy hitters, or at the very least the ones that get the most attention. In order to make life on the island more pleasant (or at least less deadly) for your character, you must first gather and refine materials. Once you have gathered and refined enough materials, you can turn them into desirable items.
The following are the steps to improving your Crafting abilities:
Arcana: At an Arcane Repository, you can brew potions and tinctures, craft magical weapons and weapon coatings, and perform Elemental Infusions, among other things.
Armoring: Create armor at a Forge or an Outfitting Station to protect yourself from harm.
Cooking: Prepare rations over a campfire or in a kitchen using a variety of ingredients such as meat, fish, or turkey (all of which can be obtained through the Harvesting, Fishing, and Tracking & Skinning skills).(Unlike the majority of other Crafting skills, this one can be practiced outside of a Settlement.)
Engineering: In a Workshop, you can create ranged weapons or their ammunition, and in a Forge, you can create melee weapons.
At a Workshop, you can create furniture or storage chests to use as decorative accents in your home.
Jewelcrafting: At an Outfitting Station, you can make jewelry out of cut gems (which you can obtain by using the Stonecutting skill).
Weaponsmithing: At a Forge, you can create melee weapons.
How to level up your Trade Skills in a short period of time
Trade Skill levels can be viewed by pressing K to bring up the Character screen, then selecting Trade Skills from the dropdown menu. If you want to level up your Trade Skills as quickly as possible, I recommend taking advantage of the Well Rested bonus and working in high-level Territories where you have a good reputation.
Contrary to popular belief, if you want to progress quickly through the ranks of a Trade Skill, it is often more beneficial to concentrate on repeating low-tier actions over and over rather than focusing on prestigious options. Creating seven Iron War Hammers, for example, provides the same amount of Weaponsmithing and Engineering XP as crafting a Starmetal War Hammer, as pointed out by forum member Chickenmanbb. If your goal is to level up your skills rather than expand your arsenal, the iron version is actually a much faster and less expensive way to achieve the same result. This is because the iron version's materials are significantly easier to come by than the bronze version.
