Looking at our review of the first release of NBA 2K21

The City is a brand-new edition in NBA 2K21 on NBA 2K MT next-gen. Composed of a lot of parks and areas, The City is almost a massive version of The Neighborhood. There's more courts, that is nice, but the pros stop there. You still have to buy a chunk for 25k VC just to play with friends on a private court, and the servers are still really shoddy. NBA 2K21 on next-gen sees a great deal of improvements to the basketball sim, but paradoxically only boosts the regions of the game which were already really good.

Looking at our review of the first release of NBA 2K21, most of my cons are still present. MyCareer's story remains shallow, the internet servers are still aggressively mediocre, and microtransactions continue to be intrusive. When you add the fact that 2K didn't offer you free upgrades for existing owners, forcing them to either buy the $100 version or purchase it separately for $70, it's difficult to say that NBA 2K21 on next-gen is your much-needed redemption for a continuously disappointing franchise.

The NBA Draft happened on Wednesday night, and very frankly, taking into consideration the manner COVID-19 has affected the development of NBA 2K21 and the team, I did not expect to find that the rookies added into the game until following month.However, 2K had a nice surprise for fans on Thursday morning. The entire draft class was added to the proper teams, and the transactions that were made recorded with the league had been updated.

2K also successfully utilized the scans from the rookies it utilized in MyTeam for NBA 2K20, and added a couple more to add a little credibility to the upgrade. Visual Concept's seminal basketball series has always pushed the bounds for video-game sports: visually, radically and monetarily, and today they have got a huge amount of extra power in their palms to push ahead to even greater heights. Frankly, these players are going to be ten-feet glossy and high like a diamond from the time they are finished.It's nice to realize that Visual Concepts have put some effort in to NBA 2K21's upgrade as well, moving past a simple buff into the graphics and frame rate, and bringing in new features like the huge online hub of The City, along with  Buy 2K MT gameplay improvements to make this feel like a worthy addition to the launching line-up for your Xbox Series X|S along with also the PlayStation 5.
