I love the basic concept behind the skill and also the way OSRS Gold you've
framed training strategies. The battling looks cool and the main
gameplay loop is afk enough. This is a really complex plan, and there's
a lot of things to think about, many of which are rather large.
In the first place, there's too much this one. It would be by far the
biggest upgrade OSRS has ever seen. With this many features and
complex, polling is challenging. I would like to see that the poll
could be broken in parts to make something similar to this.
The craftable granite and obsidian pickaxes aren't something I'm a big
fan of, particularly because pickaxes and dragons have a certain level
of difficulty attached to obtaining they. I also don't like the song
buffs - to me, they are an unorthodox style of gameplay where you must
do many trips just to chop your trees somewhat efficiently.
It's awesome, and I like how it works.
Echos are great, is my understanding correct? they're sort of like
shooting stars or implicits, in that they randomly will pop up in your
game?
The old hymns are too complex and present a number of difficulties.
They give you decreasingly interesting rewards from level 75-99. What
kind of excited are you likely to be about your 22nd hymn, considering
it's your last selections? It's also a full-on relic system and comes
with the relic regret aspect also. Learning a whole new level of skill
to make a mistake sound like fun. In the same way, storing bits of
information in your bank that you're unable to use until you've
finished them is quite a bit annoying (although it's been done before
with things like dark totems, brimstone rings). I'd vote against this
method completely.
The raid's unlocking only occurs at level 80 is extremely high.
Tempoross and Wintertodt both required a considerable amount of dev
time for bosses that only touched one skill, so asking for a highly
complex Bard-only raid with five bosses is a huge time drain, and IMO
could be used elsewhere in the game. In the beginning, musical battles
are a intricate and engaging gameplay that I don't think that you
require a raid.
Overall, I really enjoy it. I remember on your earlier bard idea, my
favorite thing about it was that it's the most obvious to me out of any
skills I've seen. It's definitely medieval, it's unique, couldn't be
done as an actual game, etc. This is definitely the one I'd like to see
the most of and maybe with Runescape gold less complexity to it.
