Kitchens have changed dramatically over the years. We've gone from eating meals in the dining room to having them in the kitchen. The number of appliances and gadgets has increased dramatically, too. As kitchens become more crowded and cluttered, home interior designers in Bangalore need to keep their eye on the bigger picture. The future of the kitchen design is bright, so let's take a look at five trends in the kitchen interior design for 2022 that you cannot miss!

1. Black & White in the Kitchen

The color wheel is expanding. Gone are the days of neutrals, pinks, and greens. Black and white is now in. Why? Because they look cool, of course and they bring a sense of calm and serenity to the kitchen.

2. White Cabinets Are Back

While some of us grew up in kitchens with pale yellow cabinets, white cabinets are making a comeback. While they can sometimes look sterile, they do add a sense of freshness and lightness to the room.

3. Glitter Is All the Rage

There's no reason why glittery surfaces should only be used for Halloween and weddings. You can use it on everything, from wall paint to tableware. From the kitchen to the bathroom, glitter is making a splash.

4. Wood Is Making a Comeback

If you still have wooden surfaces, you may want to invest in a new coat of paint. According to the paint experts at Sherwin Williams, wood looks better in any color, but especially in colors such as black, white, and gray.

5. Go Big or Go Home

If you don't have a lot of space, then makes sure your countertops and cabinets are large. While some people may prefer the look of a smaller kitchen, the reality is that you need enough space to cook, eat, and entertain.

6. Get rid of the old and bring in the new

The traditional kitchen layout has been on the decline. In fact, according to the International Center for Food Industry Innovation, more than half of the kitchens being built today are different than what was built in the 1960s. The kitchen of the future needs to incorporate more modern features and technology that is more efficient.

These are just a few of the many trends we'll see on the kitchen design front in the next decade. What are some of the kitchen design trends you'd like to see in 2022? Let us know in the comments.
