The Amazons are a group of female warriors who hail from a group of islands in the Twin Seas, near the border of the Great Ocean, where they fight for their homeland. On the islands, the only thing that distinguishes them from one another is Mount Karcheus, which is permanently snow-covered.

The Amazons are a culture that has been isolated for a long time. They have built magnificent cities in the forest canopy as a result of their centuries-long adaptation to their tropical milleu. These cities are architectural marvels that give the Amazons a great sense of accomplishment. In contrast to the Zakarum, they practice a polytheistic religion that adheres to the strict principles of Order, rather than following the teachings of the latter. Their oracles foretold the coming of the Dark Exile a long time ago, and they have been preparing for its arrival ever since. A new era in which mortal men and women are no longer considered to be mere playthings for beings from the Outer Realms will usher in the destruction of the Three Prime Evils, which will usher in a time when mortal men and women will be able to take their rightful place in the universe.

Known for their seafaring prowess, the Amazons are one of the first civilizations to establish trade relations with both Western Kingdoms and the Eastern Kingdom of Kejhistan. A result of their prominence in the world's commercial establishment, their warriors have earned the reputation as cunning strategists and skilled combatants that they currently enjoy. They are highly sought after as mercenaries because they are skilled soldiers who are also extremely loyal — as long as the assignment does not conflict with their strict sense of morals and ethics.

The pantheon of gods is organized into a clearly defined hierarchy, with each member responsible for maintaining a specific segment of the balance of Order. In fact, it is this strong sense of order that motivates the Amazon people to achieve greatness in even the most insignificant of their endeavors. Their most important deity is Athulua, who, along with her consort, Kethryes, is in charge of the seasons and the weather in their world. Under the protection of these goddesses is a diverse group of lesser deities. Each individual is responsible for his or her own sphere of influence in the daily lives of the Amazonian people. The Amazons believe that this pantheon represents the last of the original inhabitants who arrived on the islands hundreds of years ago. According to ancient records, they share the same name as these gods, though different aspects of their personalities appear to have developed over time as a result of their interactions with them.

Bows and crossbows are available.

1. When it comes to Rogue players from Diablo I, the bow is the weapon of choice, and there are many more options and techniques for using a bow in Diablo II than there were in Diablo

2.  Forget about relying solely on a steady stream of standard arrows; in Diablo II, you can use ten different bow skills to increase the effectiveness of your attacks, which are further aided by a number of abilities found in the Passive and Magic skill trees

3.  In Diablo II, there are a variety of bows and crossbows to choose from, each with its own set of characteristics such as damage, firing rate, and strength/dexterity requirements

Please keep in mind that all bows were bugged prior to v1.04 and that any type of +%damage modifier, such as Kings, Merciless or other similar effects, did not function. It would appear that a 10-50 gothic bow with 100% damage would deal 20-100 damage, but it would actually deal 11-51 damage. Bowazons have become significantly more effective since this issue was resolved, and they are now considered to be among the best characters in D2X.

All bow skills require mana to use (with the exception of two: Magic Arrow at Slvl 13+, which is completely free, and Guided Arrow at Slvl 33+, which is completely free). Therefore, mana steal equipment is required for any successful Bowazon to be successful. Keeping enough mana can be difficult at lower levels, but as your bow damage increases, aided by better bows and more dexterity points, you'll find it easier to steal enough mana to maintain a steady attack of bow skills rather than having to alternate between normal attacks and the more damaging bow skills. When using a low-damage bow or shooting monsters with low hit points, having +mana per kill bonuses is actually more beneficial than having mana leech bonuses.

The early skills "Magic" and "Multi-shot" Arrow allow (as well as Strafe later on) do help with arrow economy, one by creating an arrow from mana and the other by splitting one arrow into many, but this isn't a significant benefit because there is never a shortage of arrows, and in any case they are cheap and plentiful to purchase from an NPC in any act.

It's important to remember that her passive skills in the aptly-named 'Passive & Magic' tree will benefit the skills Diablo 2 Resurrected Items Switch choose in this tree, as will two other, non-passive skills: "Decoy," which creates an immobile decoy, and "Valkyrie," which creates an ally, a minion similar to the Necromancer's, to fight for D2R ladder items or just distract monsters, giving Diablo 2 items free shots at them.

Socketed bows can be extremely useful at the beginning of a game, especially when dealing with chipped or flawed gems that deal elemental damage or poison. However, early on, D2 ladder runes can probably do a lot better with a bow that has 2 or 3 chipped topaz, rubies, or emeralds than with any other bow you'll find at that point, even if they aren't as low level as they were in D2C due to the addition of Clvl requirements to gems in D2X.

Characteristics and abilities

Delirium, for example, is a runeword that can cause even the Amazon to be transformed into a fetish creature. She will be unable to use her bow in this situation.

The Amazon is a skilled fighter who excels in close quarters combat. Thousands of hours of training in the jungles of her native islands have honed the Amazon's bow and missile weapon abilities to a level of unparalleled excellence. The Sisters of the Sightless Eye are her only competitors when it comes to using the bow. However, unlike her sisters in arms, the Amazon is also highly skilled in the use of spears and other thrown weapons, which distinguishes her from them. A combination of Prime magic, Holy magic, and ingenious weapon construction give them the abilities that they do.
