FIFA 22 has already won the race prior to the first whistle blowing: eFootball 2022 will fai

You will be hearing my thoughts on eFootball 2022 in this article, as the title suggests.  However, it will be more of a rant than anything else because I truly believe that PES/eFootball will bring something new to the table after an extra year of development.

In reality, as you'll see in a few moments, they scored an own goal and contributed to FIFA 22's victory this season without breaking a sweat.

 

It's completely free to play. . . However, this is not the case

Starting with the game's primary selling point – the fact that it is free to play – my eFootball 2022 review begins.  You've probably heard by now that the all-new eFootball 2022 will be available for free to all players worldwide.  And, yes, that is exactly what KONAMI wants players to believe about the game.

However, the reality is that the single-player aspects of the game will be released as paid add-ons (as they confirmed via Twitter earlier today).  Yes, Master League is not a free-to-play game; instead, it is locked behind a paywall.  Needless to say, this is a slap in the face to players who were under the impression that the next eFootball/PES iteration would be truly free to participate in.

 

Support for Cross-Platform Use as a Double-Edged Sword

Now that we've covered the first half of my eFootball 2022 review, let's talk about the game's second most important selling point: cross-platform compatibility!

Many people, including myself, were excited about the prospect of having proper cross-platform play in the football sim world for the first time.  Many people, including myself, believed that this would prompt EA to do the same thing with their FIFA video games.

Having said that, the cross-platform nature of eFootball 2022 is going to be a double-edged sword for the franchise.  eFootball may be doomed before it even gets off the ground if they don't make significant improvements to the graphics and gameplay prior to release.

Why? Is it possible that the game is truly that bad? According to the trailer for the film's release, it may indeed be that bad.  It is at least two generations behind FIFA in terms of graphics.  Furthermore, if the stale open beta gameplay is retained, eFootball 2022 will be doomed to failure from the start.

Additionally, Ultimate Team is a FIFA game mode in which you are invited to put together your dream team.  You have the option of selling what you don't need or purchasing what you want.  For the purposes of this article, FUT 22 Coins is a virtual currency that can be used to purchase packs in stores, trade FIFA 22 items on the transfer market, and pay for FIFA Ultimate Team draft mode entries.  You can earn money by participating in games, trading items on the FIFA Ultimate Team transfer market, discarding items, or receiving rewards and gifts from other players.
