By 2030, 57 professions will be out of demand at once.  The list of professions that will fall into oblivion includes lawyers, notaries, accountants, librarians, journalists, concrete workers, waiters and security guards. Experts believe that they will all be replaced by AI (Artificial Intelligence).

But what about the poker profession? Will it also disappear in 10 years, or is it all nothing more than a fiction? Let's try to understand this difficult question.

Who will replace us in our jobs?

1. Robots-already now, machines are successfully replacing workers with physically demanding tasks. Many factories are mechanizing up to 90% of all production.

Humans in this case only supervise that the machines act as they should, and are involved in assembling the final products.

As for the world of poker, so far there is no such problem. Theoretically speaking, robots could replace a live dealer, which would make life easier:

                                       a) the rake would be lower (after all, why would a robot need a paycheck?),

                                                  b) it would speed up the game (already now special devices can shuffle the deck during the deal),

                                                              c) fewer mistakes would be made,

which in real life are primarily due to inattentiveness of the human dealer.

After all, none of us is perfect.

However, it is still too early to think about such a scenario. The development of robotics is not yet at such a high level that a robot can monitor the fairness of the game. And even when a robot replaces a live dealer, there has to be a special person to monitor the work of the machine.

So the profession of tournament director or manager will remain in demand, but these people will need to have at least some understanding of modern technology.

So far it is also hard to imagine a robot being able to replace a live opponent in a live poker game.

The reason is simple: while it is possible to build into the robot all the algorithms needed to make decisions, it is difficult to teach it to operate with plastic cards and ceramic chips. In other words, replacing the cerebellum, the part of the brain responsible for movement, is still unrealistic.

And also it is necessary to have the ability to analyze and it is possible if there is enough information, which can be obtained from different sources, such as https://www.pekarstas.com/.

But in online poker it is quite possible to use robots, only in the form of programs.
