Although these can be enjoyable, they're time spent doing the same thing over and over - time that might or RuneScape Gold may be better spent with a few shorter, but not less traditional video games.

As opposed to being a simple battle, RuneScape is a painstaking battle for survival that's difficult and long, and doesn't ever truly end. It can also be highly rewarding if you're prepared to invest the time in it, and I was. At the very least, for a whole year or so.

I've hardly played any MMORPGs in the past, to my everlasting loss and shame. The demands of real life are immense and I just do not have the time allow them to lure me in. As with all games it is the most time-consuming, with numerous levels to conquer and items to find. There have been deaths at the end or after of hours of intense play of RuneScape's younger but more popular sibling World of Warcraft, which I guess also makes it an extremely scary game.

In the present, you'll usually find me in Quake and Half-Life or playing Team Fortress 2 - games that get played out in force leave their marks and fade away quickly. It's great playing something I love and put aside quickly, as opposed to having to worry about how many pieces of wood I have in my inventory , or what I'll be fishing during the next session.

However, I'm still missing a bit of the never-ending grind as well as lengthy involvement (and discomfort) that comes with RuneScape. The game is now in its third form called 'RuneScape 3' (from 2013) with more content and a visual change, there's a bit of hope that I might revisit it just to check how it's going up to speed, as I would with an old friend.
