When your Sony AV receiver goes into protect mode, you may be wondering what's going on. This problem occurs when a power surge or outage shorts out your receiver. First, wait for 30 minutes and then plug the power cord back in. Turn the receiver on after the 30 minutes have passed. After the 30 minutes, the problem should be fixed. The next step is to contact Sony to get it repaired.

There are several causes for this problem. Your receiver might be overloaded to the point where it enters "protect mode." This can be caused by loud speakers or too high a volume. This will cause the amplifiers to use more power, causing the Sony AV receiver to "clip".

If the problem continues to persist, you can try replacing the speakers or reconnecting them. If this doesn't fix the problem, you can try changing the impedance of your speakers to match your Sony receiver. If this doesn't work, you can try connecting the front speaker first and then moving on to the rear speakers. This way, you can try one speaker at a time until the protection error goes away. Once you've changed the speaker's impedance, the Sony receiver will be back in its normal mode.

If all else fails, you can always send the unit to the manufacturer for repair. It may be the audio component. If you're unable to fix the problem on your own, you can send the Sony receiver for repair. Otherwise, the repair costs will help you decide whether to repair your unit or replace it. There are also some repairs you can do yourself at home, so you'll probably save money by doing it yourself.
