Which weapon offhand should I use if Dual Wielding?

To go along with the dungeoneering I will probably try this RS gold job master, which I've heard numerous times about. After having tried four different things though..I want to come up with more ideas. I'm hoping for 8-10 concepts total.

I really don't know what to suggest , as I'm not aware of what you're into, but here's a list of some random goals of mine that can give you some ideas. I'd like to attain: The top tier (6) Hood (looks awesome) Hood (looks incredible), I have tier 3 atm as well as the Commando MA rank and 300 MA rank for the imbued rings; 75 Soul Wars zeal for an Abyssal Demon pet and Runecrafting Robes (both ones from Runespan kinds (look cool) as well as that of RC guild one (pretty useful)).

Quest cape (you most likely have this however if you don't, this is a great and entertaining goal) The top Chompy bird's hat (personally I like the red one, but the yellow only adds 2 more kills) Minigames Hybrids gear 99 Construction so that I can construct a fantastic home (I realize that it's technically training the skill however my aim here is to create a cool home, not to just make 99). I believe I have a couple more but I can't recall them at the moment.

I've been off RS for around 3 years now, and I'm eager to get back. I've been reading about most of the recent updates that were released since I've been gone, and am beginning to work things out, slightly.

I noticed that Dual Wielding has been released, and had some questions. When I played in the past on the computer, I played with an Abyssal Whip & one Dragon Defender. Since Dual Wielding has recently been made available I was wondering if it would be better to play with an offhand weapon, as opposed for the Defender. Which brings an additional question.

Which weapon offhand should I use if Dual Wielding? I figured it was the Abyssal Whip offhand version I wouldn't be able to obtain at this time due to my lack of required abilities. So I concluded that either a Dragon Scimitar or a Dragon Dagger would be ideal however, I could be completely wrong.

If there is a choice between Dragon Dagger & Dragon Scimitar for an offhand weapon, how do I know which to choose? The reason I ask is because having checked Runescape Wiki, it says that both the Dagger & Scimitar have exactly the same Damage (576) and accuracy (1132). The question is, are you deciding which you prefer the looks of or different? I noticed this: The Dagger is actually much cheap Runescape gold cheaper but I was wondering why you would choose the Dagger over the Scimitar. Scimitar.
