Just a quick poll. I'm sure that rs 2007 gold a majority of people aren't happy with the Yelp of Irritation buying spins annoying But how do you feel about it affecting new players? Or will they see it as part and parcel of the game? It cheapens things for those of us who have been around, but do you think it will make it terrible for those who know how things work from the start?
Will skills feel cheapened or simply be viewed as part of normal gameplay? It is not something that I would say is important for novice players. It might be beneficial to them that the grind can be removed every now and then for a little extra cash. Do you think that this will reduce the quality of their skills once things are leveled and everyone has already spent their initial cash?
To be honest, I believe that it will be a huge benefit for me. It's probably a sad reference - but when I played Neopets, every day I had a certain amount of dailies. These were all free to use and offered the chance of a huge amount of money. So I did them religiously each day for years. They are still something I do from time to time. You can get free stuff that's a bit more exciting and you could even be rewarded.
I think you raise an excellent aspect. One that I generally, have neglected. On the other hand, I think it's a nebulous method of giving people the opportunity to purchase experience with real world munny...which isn't fair for the rest of us who've been playing for years and have gained our points the hard way.
Jagex, on the other hand will surely hear the numerous complaints regarding "the grind", and so they THINK giving away exp. People want to accumulate points by taking part in contests for givaway, such as SoF and cheap RuneScape gold quest rewards.
